Readers Respond - Pope - Comment by Daniel G. Szczurek

Subject: Agreement and Love

So, guide,
Am I hearing in your news report that anyone who disagrees with you on the ethical nature of the gay lifestyle isn't a Christian? That love of gays must necesarily include agreement with gays that their life-style is a moral one? I hope not. If so, your writers are as bigoted as the people who bash your writers. Can I disagree with the morality of what you do without being portrayed as hating you? If not, I prefer to make up my mind and heart on issues of morality and being bashed by you as un-Christian, than to agree with what you say just because you will bash me for it. Pope-bashers are not more Christian than gay-bashers are they? Or do you presume to know the hearts of those who disagree with you? That would be pride, I think. Do you reserve tolerance just for those who agree with you? Dr. Daniel Szczurek (and I am not Catholic, but intolerance is intolerance)
