Readers Respond - Pope - Comment by Ocia Langner

Subject: Catholic church

The Church separates the act of compassion for the person from the sin. You do not have to hate the person in order to hate the sin. No one told me who it was that changed God's views which are Biblically stated as against homosexuality. We do not need to go to chapter and verse. But if there is no God then there is no sin. We can not say what is and what isn't. God already has and gave us the right of free choice, but also warned of choosing wrong.

The Church does not hate homosexuals, but the sin, and the public display of it. You, like a lot of gay activists, like to mix 10 per cent truth and 90 per cent deceit. And you feel at peace with it. It is a false peace. There is no peace without God. Moral decay is rampant here in America and one day there will be a chastisement.

I have known many homosexuals. I have worked with and for them, and have become friends. They respect my views and do not offend me by glorifying homosexuality in front of me.

There has NEVER been a homosexual relationship that has not ended tragically. That is, with the demise of a partner. The only time tragedy is avoided is when one asks God to forgive. NEVER have I seen or heard of a spiritually peaceful death by an unrepentant homosexual. And I do feel sorry for them and I really do pray for their souls as I will yours.

Why do people think that just because this is the year 2000, they as individuals, do not have to worry about final judgment.

Let me tell you the nuts and bolts of the whole thing: It does NOT matter what I think or what you think. Either homosexuality is forbidden by God or it is not. It is that simple.

So, if you want to gamble eternity against a few years here on earth then by all means roll the dice.

May God bless You and help You,

OG Langner
