Subject: The Papal position

One cannot claim to be a Christian and also be "gay." It is an absolute contradiction in terms at the very least, and a self-deceptive lie, always.

To be a Christian (or a truely devout Jew, for that matter), the Bible is believed and followed at all times, and in every aspect of life. In the Biblical view, homosexuality is one of the vilest sins, since it usurps or disrupts the natural order of relationships between man and woman, as God designed and intended. That is why in the New Testament you find the words: "The man who lies with another man is cursed unto death." This isn't a death-sentence or a call for execution; it is a statement that the "gay" lifestyle leads to disease and untimely death (and it does--the Bible is right yet again). AIDS is only the most recent scourge to bear this out.

Admonitions against this type of perverse and unnatural behavior are found throughout the Bible. Here are just a few of them:

Leviticus 18:22 (KJV): "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind. It is abomination."

Genesis 13:13: "But the men of Sodom (homosexuals, who even tried to seduce the male "angels" who came to their city) were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."

Romans 1:24-32: 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Bible means what it says, and says what it means. I'm not Catholic, but the Pope was definitely right on this one.

There is no such chemical compound as a "gay gene." This an unscientific and unproven lie, masquerading as an excuse. There are real spiritual forces at work in the world, however, which pervert the minds of men and women to all manner of uncleaness. Homosexuality is just one crass perversion among many others, such as pedophilia, bestiality, and other unnatural "lifestyles."
