The Gay Agenda
For many years (decades?) we have heard about "The Gay Agenda" and how it is set to destroy society.
Unfortunately, I've never been able to find "my" copy of the agenda. Perhaps I'm not on the list, I don't know.
Regardless, there are many out there who claim to know what is on our Agenda. Entire web sites are devoted to responding to our alleged agenda.
Awhile back I asked all of you in the Question of the Week what you would like to see happen for us first. Your responses provided an excellent starting point to create an actual agenda.
And so, without much further ado, I present:
There shall be no job discrimination on the basis of our sexual orientation.
This shall include service in the military
Orientation shall play no role in division of marital assets or
custody of children in cases of dissolution of marriage
Orientation shall play no role in matters of adoption, whether
by a single person or a gay/lesbian couple
There shall be no housing discrimination on the basis of orientation
There shall be no credit discrimination on the basis of orientation
A right to marry exists and gay and lesbian couples
may marry under the same rights and terms as non-gay or lesbian couple
I have no doubt but that I left out an item or two. Let me know what I missed and I'll add it --- or post in our message forum!
