Year-Round Masquerades

It's a time that many of us dress up as something or somebody we are not.
Frankly, I think many of us "dress-up" the other 364 days a year - look at all the gays and lesbians in the military. If they're not playing at masquerade the entire year, I don't know who is. Then there are those of us who are teachers, some of whom continue to run the risk of being fired if they don't masquerade while teaching; or any time they may run into a parent, student or colleague.
For so many, coming out or being out just doesn't seem to be a viable option for them, no matter how many legal protections there might be or the sheer joys of National Coming Out Day.
Then, there are people who come out regardless of the apparent risks, some of us quietly outside the realm of public view, and others, such as Ellen, who do it with a bang.
Awhile back I wrote about celebrities and gossip, sharing some with you, and sharing some of my own speculation.
And so, in honor of Halloween, some "Celebrity Blind Items" for your perusal and opportunity to do your own speculation about who might be, in their own ways, celebrating Halloween the other 364 days of the year.
Item One
What really makes this publicly "dating" female TV star mad is trying pick up on women at lesbian bars. She fails to notice that they're with somebody, and she gets turned down.Item Two
This happily married star of screens big and small has been around longer than I've been out, but not so long that folks in Hollywood have forgotten when he used to have many friends flown in to visit him on sets, all of them young bucks.Item Three
This prominent politico forgets that he came from a smaller city, where people noticed, remember, and still share the stories of his affairs with his male aides, all his support of anti-gay legislation notwithstanding.
