Anniversary Party
Mysterious Bookstore, Westwood

The late Bruce Alexander (pseudonym for Bruce Cook) was remembered and eulogized during an all-day anniversary party at the Mysterious Bookstore in Westwood that brought out dozens of authors. Bruce's last book was completed by authors John Shannon and his widow, Judith Aller.
Chicago Tribune book reviewer Dick Adler shared happy remembrances of his friend, Bruce Cook, with authors and fans at the party, among them Bob and Gayle Lynds. (Both Bob and Gayle, co-president with David Morrell of the newly-formed International Thriller Writers, were beneficiaries of excellent reviews by Dick earlier in the year.)
