"Who Needs Reviewers?"
Mysteries to Die For Bookstore
Thousand Oaks

Here's some of the crowd that filled the wonderful Mysteries to Die For bookstore in Thousand Oaks, CA, for a panel that raised the question, "Who Needs Reviewers," built around release of a new collection of reviews, DREAMS OF JUSTICE / MYSTERIES AS SOCIAL DOCUMENTS, by Dick Adler, distinguished mystery critic for the Chicago Tribune. Dick moderated, and I was flattered to be on the firing line with authors Richard Brewer, Lee Goldberg, Terrill Lee Lankford, John Shannon, and author-reviewer Dick Lochte.

Ivor Davis (left) dropped by to say hello to old friends Dick Lochte and Bob Levinson, who chose the occassion to debut his new promo cap, for WHERE THE LIES BEGIN. Ivor has been a  highly-respected journalist covering the show business scene for decades.
