Coming Out Stories Gallery - Nora

I am married with 2 teenage children. I know I am attracted primarily to women and have known it for about ten years. I found out more about myself when I was an emotional band aid to a female friend who was seperated from her husband. This period of time told me a great deal about myself because I felt feelings of greater intensity than I had felt with men. This relationship was doomed as it is any time someone uses or allows themselves to be used as an emotional off ramp. I was very surprised how attached I was to her and it took me an incredibly long time to move on emotionally. It was uncomfortable for us to be around each other when we realized how our feelings had gone beyond friendship-like a taboo had been committed. I know who I am, I just don't know how to be who I am.
