Coming out is not something that you just do one day. It is a process that you go through every time you tell some you are gay. I have been in the process of coming out for the last three years. Does it get easier? Not really. Each time I am in a situation where the comment I really want to make might implicate me as being gay, I get a momentary shiver down my spine. In that split second I ask myself "How will this person react when they find out that I am gay?" Sometimes I tell them and sometimes I don't. After all it took me a couple of ears to come to grips with the fact that I am gay, so what can I expect from them in that split second of truth? As I said it is a process.
